In spite of a solid performance from Lauren Landers with 16 points, Ballinger fell to Christoval 46-39. Christoval (TX) clinched the game in the second period on a free throw and never looked back.

Even though Ballinger Lady Cats Varsity added 16 points in the final quarter, it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponent.  Ballinger put forth an aggressive effort, accumulating 23 fouls over the course of the game.

Landers shot well from the field, making 56% (5-for-9) of shots attempted as well as 67% (4-for-6) of threes attempted.

Kinley Gray put two three-pointers on the board and scored eight points total. Also helping the effort for Ballinger were Bryla Perkins (6 points, 3 rebounds), Haley Matschek (3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Lexus Gonzales (2 points, 6 rebounds), Sydney Bowman (2 points, 2 rebounds), and Kinlee Bowman (2 points, 4 rebounds).

Ballinger finished the game with 23 rebounds (6 offensive / 17 defensive) and three steals.
