After a difficult loss against Hamlin, Winters had to put in some work. With a couple of starters out the team had to pull together for their game against TLCA. Winters won the coin toss and deferred until the second half. The Eagles received and with the intent to score but they were shut down by a stiff Winters defense. Winters would then score on their first possession to take the lead. Both teams fought for the momentum early, but Winters took it when they again held the Eagles and punched in another touch down.

Coming up on the end of the second half the TLCA Eagles were driving the ball down field. They called a time out with 2 seconds left in the half to make try and come up with an attack. Winters was ready, however, and on a deep pass attempt by the Eagles, Blizzard Junior linebacker Chris Diaz came up with a huge sack.

Coming out after halftime the Winters was up 20-0 and they were intent on not losing their lead to the Eagles. For every punch the Eagles threw the Blizzards countered and threw a much more devastating one. TLCA ultimately would not score until late in the game that would eventually end 42-6.
