Former I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner Brendan Fevola has revealed an all-star season was being cooked up by Channel 10 before it was axed.

The network recently revealed the show, which is hosted by Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, would be “rested” in 2027, but hinted it could return in 2028.

Brendan, who was crowned the King of the Jungle in the 2016 season, said he'd been approached earlier in the year about doing a show with other winners.

"There’s been 12 seasons now, so all the winners would go back in," he said on The Fox's Fifi, Fev and Nick.

"They’ve just done that in the UK, and they got four times the audience, which is huge ratings. I said no because I’ve got to work, and this is my priority.

"They reckon Channel Seven or Channel Nine will take it. It might be onto another station… the ITV people rang, so I assume it’s still going ahead."

Previous winners include Concetta Caristo, Skye Wheatley, Liz Ellis, Abbie Chatfield, Richard Reid and Freddie Flintoff.

Channel 10 weighs in on all-star season rumours

Rumours had been swirling in recent weeks about a possible all-stars season and Channel 10 didn’t shut down the idea entirely.

"We love the enthusiasm, honestly, we do, and the passion for this show never gets old,” a Network 10 spokesperson told TV WEEK.

"As always, we don’t comment on rumours or speculation, but we will say this: with over 160 former campmates to choose from, the possibilities would be endless."

Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Channel 10 for comment.

It could have given Channel 10 a massive ratings boost after reaching 1.37 million viewers for the 2024 season finale.

The 2025 finale copped 1.2 million viewers, but the 2026 finale only pulled in 942,000 people.

Channel 10 ‘rests’ I’m A Celebrity

However, before any of this came to fruition, Channel 10 announced last week it would be canning I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! for 2027.

It said it wanted to focus on offering its audience a “range of content on all platforms”.

Robert Irwin, who had hosted the show since 2023, said it had been an incredible ride.

“I want to express what an absolute privilege it has been to work on this show for the past three seasons,” he said.

“I grew up watching this show as so many Aussies do, so to be part of the fantastic team that makes this series a reality felt like a dream come true.

“We have had the honour of sharing incredible stories and create a platform to shine a light on amazing charities that our celebrities have supported along the way.

“And to do it all alongside my co-host, and friend, Julia Morris made it a truly life-changing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”

Julia added that it’s been the “best working experience” of her life and she has loved “every moment” of it.

“ be forever grateful to Beverley and the whole team at Network 10 for not only believing in this show but nurturing it for 12 years,” she said.

“And to our jungle family watching from home, we love you.”

Channel 10 said it looked forward to working with Julia and Robert on other projects.
