Man charged with vandalizing parks in Pocono Township, allegedly told police it was due to pickleball injury

POCONO TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — A man in the Poconos is facing charges for vandalizing pickleball courts after he was injured playing.

Officers accuse 31-year-old Saif Kaleem, of Tannersville, of vandalizing two parks in Pocono Township.

The nets at TLC and Mountain View Park were cut earlier this month.

Police say video shows a man, now identified as Kaleem, cutting one of the pickleball nets at TLC Park.

The man was then seen getting into a white Hyundai Tucson.

The same man in the same vehicle was also seen two days later at Mountain View Park, according to police.

Police say when Kaleem was confronted, he allegedly told them he was recently injured playing pickleball and cut the nets at the parks due to his summer being ruined.

Kaleem has been charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and trespassing.
