Lanesboro Arts is proud to present the 45th annual Art in the Park fine art festival on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Nestled in the rolling green bluffs of the Driftless region, Lanesboro’s Sylvan Park will host 90-plus fine art and craft booths, family art activities, local food and beverage vendors, and live music. This event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing visitors an ample amount of time to view and purchase fine art, connect with others, and enjoy the festivities. Renowned for quality, variety, and value, Art in the Park is a family-friendly art fair that attracts thousands of regional patrons each year.

The focal point of Art in the Park is, of course, the art. Fine art and craft artist booths will encircle Sylvan Park underneath canopies of shade, featuring a wide variety of artist-made work by over 90 artists from the tri-state region. There will be original paintings, photography, fine jewelry, textile rugs and quilts, hand-thrown ceramics, stained glass, blown and fused glass sculptures, artworks utilizing reclaimed wood, metalwork, woven baskets, embroidery, and more. In addition to art vendors, there will be art demonstrations at various booths, as well as family and youth art activities.

If perusing all the artist booths works up an appetite, Art in the Park food and beverage vendors have you covered with delicious, locally prepared foods and craft beverages. Food vendors in 2026 include homegrown, locally sourced, or foraged ingredients (Heimstead); tacos, enchiladas, and more (Taqueria El Sueño); wood-fired pizza (The Woodshed); and brats and hot dogs from Lanesboro High School TexMex Fundraiser. The Farmers Market will also offer fresh food and healthy snack stands. The JEM Theatre will be selling delicious popcorn and more. Craft beer will be provided by Lanesboro’s very own Sylvan Brewing and Kinney Creek Brewery of Rochester.

Come for the art; stay for the music. Throughout the festival, live music in the Sylvan Park Gazebo will keep the energy high. The Rutabaga Brothers (10-11:30 a.m.) is a southeast Minnesota-based upbeat blues ensemble. The Lonely Knees (12-1:30 p.m.) are a roots-driven trio that roams freely through modern indie, old-school country, 90s pop, and beyond. Molly Brandt (2-3:30 p.m.) was named 2023 and 2024 Americana Artist of the Year at the Midwest Country Music Awards and has been making waves in the independent music scene across the region. Loud Mouth Brass (4-5 p.m.) will round out the day with a fresh, energetic sound from its blue sousaphone to the bottom of its thumping bass drum. Visitors will be tapping their toes and humming along as you explore the artist booths all day.

Admission to Art in the Park is free. Accessible parking is available at Sylvan Park. Socialized dogs on leashes are permitted.

Art in the Park is presented by Lanesboro Arts and is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
