Lion William (Bill) S. Knight was installed into the Alabama Lions Hall of Fame on May 9, 2026 at the Vestavia Civic Center in Birmingham. The Hall of Fame was established four years ago and recognizes outstanding Lions who have shown exemplary dedication and selfless service to Lionism. He lives the Lion motto: “We Serve”. Bill joined the Scottsboro Lions Club in 2001, served two years as Club President from 2005-2007, and Club Secretary from 2008-2011. Although he is best known for overseeing the top-notch club programs for the last couple of decades, he has and continues to consistently support every facet of the club service work including eyesight, brooms, pecans, and many other specific work projects. Bill is always there, always supportive, and in doing so resides amongst those who are or have been the backbone of the Scottsboro club. There are currently 30 members of the Alabama Lions Hall of Fame. Scottsboro Lion Members are: Bill, Mechele Mosely, Bob Word and Bill Coleman.
