NCAA Fan Jam stops at Connor Sports

CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (WLUC) - The NCAA Fan Jam mobile promotional tour is traveling to all 83 counties across Michigan.

This is ahead of the Men’s Final Four games that will be played in Detroit next April.

The Fan Jam gives people the opportunity to shoot baskets, take a picture with the NCAA Championship Trophy and test their vertical jump. The tour stopped at Connor Sports in Crystal Falls on Wednesday.

Detroit Local Organizing Committee Director of Communications Kurt Kosmowski says Connor Sports is the official court of the NCAA.

“This court that the games will be played on in April at Ford Field is made in Michigan, timber from Michigan, made by proud workers in the Upper Peninsula,” Kosmowski said.

Connor Sports Marketing Director Zach Riberdy says none of what they do would be possible without the workers: who got to enjoy a little time shooting hoops today.

“The tournament’s going to be in Detroit, this is our home soil, this is where we’re from,” Riberdy said. “So, for us, having them be able to get a little first taste, see what the logo looks like, get their feet on the floor, throw a couple shots up see what happens, give them a little bit more excitement around the tournament going into ’27.”

Kosmowski says the ticket application for the Final Four closes on May 31. If you miss the application window, he says ‘no ticket, no problem’.

“If you don’t have a ticket to the Final Four, there’s many events you can have fun with,” Kosmowski said. “There’s going to be a fan fest, a music festival, a tip off tail gate, all sorts of great events where if you don’t have a ticket, you can still have a great time with the Final Four in Detroit.”

The NCAA Men’s Final Four will take place in Detroit at Ford Field on Apr. 3 and 5.
