This is Yolande van Hal from Nutrition Insight, and I’m here with Linda Necker from Levoises at Vidy Foods Europe 2026.
Thank you for joining us today.
Thank you.
And I’m really curious because I know you’re showcasing some VR technology to deepen the understanding of the gut-brain connection and also to show the impacts on mental health with probio brain.
So I’d love to hear more.
How are you using that?
How does that work?
So the VR experience.
The lens that we bring here today is really to translate the complex science between the gut brain into something that we can easily understand as consumers, and it’s really both a communication platform and an educational tool because I stress is something that we all experience, but we want to understand how, what happens, and that’s the VR experience.
Really interesting.
And what kind of insights do you hope to provide with that experience, and how do those align with the broader mental health and wellness trends in the industry right now?
So violence is taking people into everyday life situations where you experience stress.
So by being in the virtual reality, you can feel the situation and then at the same time you also get the explanation what happens in the Gut brain axis when you’re going through these stress moments and what can you actually do about it.
So and you asked about the connection to the broader mental and wellness.
Every person around the globe is experiencing mental challenges and stress-related experiences, so we can all relate to it and educating ourselves and understanding more what happens.
This is just where we want to be.
And I would also love to know more about ProbioBrain.
Can you tell us how it addresses this growing demand for science-backed solutions in mental health?
So Probbio Brain is a solution from Novanessis that is based on the probiotic strain Bifidobacterium longun 1714, and for this strain, we’ve done clinically documented studies where we’ve seen an effect on both stress-related and mental health-related issues.
And the need for science-based solutions is something we see all the time, and we get a lot of curious questions from our customers around the science behind a gut brain solution.
All right.
And can you highlight some challenges that Nova faces in advancing gut brain health solutions and how to overcome barriers in things like consumer awareness, education, and acceptance.
That’s a very good question.
The key challenge is really the consumer understanding, because gut brain, we are just starting to understand how the connection works and what we can do to make our mental health better.
So education is key, and we are spending a lot of energy in educating our customers, our healthcare professionals, and in the end consumers.
And again, violence is a playful.
Tool to make that education and the understanding better.
Very interesting.
And last question that I have because there is a growing awareness of the gut health impact on mental health, which is really interesting to see.
How do you see consumer or customer engagement evolving in these kinds of innovations like our brain?
We get a lot of curious questions, so we have a very good dialogue together with our customers.
Mental health and how mental health can fit into product ranges at our customers’ shelves in retail or on digital platforms and the need for science-backed solutions is something that we see every time we talk to a customer about it.
So we are building this as Novanesses, but we are also building it together with our customers and their consumers.
Thank you.
